Movie Review Of Three Idiots - 1586 Words
Three Idiots-The 2009 release Bollywood movie is based on comedy, romance, drama genre. The movie is directed by Raj Kumar Hirani and is inspired by Chetan Bhagatââ¬â¢s novel Five Point Someone. The movie features Aamir Khan, R.Madhavan, Sharman Joshi as an engineering student and Boman Irani as a strict Principal of the Enginnering College and Kareena Kapoor as a medical student. The movie is about the Engineering life and the problems, traumas and fun, the ââ¬Å"three idiotsâ⬠have during their engineering life. The movie was very informative that it has been awarded with 25 wins and 13 nominations (ââ¬Å"3 Idiots Awardsâ⬠). Moreover, the movie was also the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in overseas markets before being takenâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦As one of the critics from The Times of India saysâ⬠Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi script a warm and humanist indictment of Indiaââ¬â¢s rude-crude education system that prepares rats for a rat race rather than thinkers for a new world.â⬠(ââ¬Å"3 Idiots Movie Reviewâ⬠). The movie pictures the parents in most South Asian countries pressurizing their child to either be a doctor or an engineer, a child killing oneââ¬â¢s wills and dreams to stand on parentââ¬â¢s expectations, and never getting to live their dreams. We can clearly see this in the movie as the character Farhan says,â⬠I am scared that my father wonââ¬â¢t allow me to be a photographerâ⬠, when talking about his passion for photography with his two friends. But the story of the movie is not so depressing as Rancho repliesâ⬠Follow your dreams. Donââ¬â¢t study something that you know you are bad at and follow your passionâ⬠as he convinces Farhan to follow his passion towards photography. All the different characters have different story arcs that lead them to an understanding of chasing their dreams rather than running after good grades and confining themselves within the four walls of traditional mugging up style of learning. The story of the movie is very inspirational, it makes the audience visualize themselves as the fourth idiot. The other luring aspect of the film are the actors in the film who haveShow MoreRelatedEssay on Three Idiots: A Good Movie for College Students822 Words à |à 4 Pagesuniversities because engineer is a popular occupation with its decent salary.
